Services w/Mass Care Overview and Damage Assessment
Introduction to Disaster: This video-driven course
provides fundamental information about disasters, the community
response, and the role of the Red Cross Disaster Services. This
class is required for all new disaster volunteers.
Mass Care Overview: This course focuses on the
activities of the Mass Care function. Learn about sheltering,
preparing food, mobile feeding and bulk distribution of items
following a disaster.
Damage Assessment: This course provides information
about the Red Cross role of damage assessment following a disaster.
Students will learn how to survey a disaster area, identify damage,
and estimate the scope of the disaster.
Fee: No charge, pre-registration is required.
